February Wrap-Up & March Most Anticipated Releases

wrapup

Hey Guys!

Can I just ask where did this month even go?! Like 2017 just started, I’m going to need it to slow down for a minute. February was a great month for me because it was my birthday month! I turned 24 and I ate cake. I am now one year away from my “quarter-life crisis” and I’m kind of excited to see where the big two-five takes me. Okay, enough about me, let’s talk about books and blogging.

Let’s get started!

BOOKS I READ:

25750546  30631124  32797060
30747137  33543600  26228446  33028674
33236889  27237358  25223500  29991718  33807507
Holy crap, my speed reading picked up this month and I managed to read twelve books! I was aiming for ten so I’m happy I managed to surpass my goal. I love majority of the books I read this month, with a few disappointing reads here and there and I also discovered a few new authors and I’m excited to check out more of their books later in the year.

BOOK REVIEWS:

Work Song by Danielle Allen | ★★★★½ | A slow-burning office romance that will have you laughing-out-loud, cheesing from all the cuteness and crying at the most perfect ending.
Good Boy by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy | ★★★★½ | A laugh-out-loud friends-with-benefits romance that will keep you entertained.
Riveted by Jay Crownover | ★★★★ | A sweet, heart-warming romance about healing and finding the courage to let love in.
Pretty Face by Lucy Parker | ★★★★½ | A slow-burning, forbidden romance with witty banter and just the right amount of drama.
Making Faces by Amy Harmon | ★★★★ | A beautiful, thought-provoking novel with a powerful message that everyone can relate to.
Royally Matched by Emma Chase | ★★★★ | A hilarious, sweet and sexy romance that kept me entertained for hours.
Mini Reviews: Disappointing Reads & A New-To-Me Author | A new feature on the blog where I reviews multiple books at one time.

I’m so excited to read another Ginger Scott Book. I have no idea what A Boy Like You is about but it’s got Scott’s name on the cover and that’s pretty much all I need to know.

I’m also DYING to see what is going to happen next in the Sins Duet duology! I don’t trust none of these characters and I’m pretty sure someone’s going to die in Dirty Souls.

That is all for the month of February. Feel free to check out any of the above posts mentioned if you haven’t done so already.

Let me know in the comments which March releases you are most excited for!sig

  1. Happy belated birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day. I already feel like I’m having a quarter life crisis and i’m only 22 haha. I’ve heard so many amazing things about Making Faces and I definitely plan on reading the book soon. I’m also super excited to read A Boy Like You. 😀

    • Thank you, Lois! We are way too young to be having these life crises. Why does adulting have to be so hard? 😅😅

I was a little worried about of the hype for Pretty Face, but it was so good and I ended up liking it a lot more than the first book. I finished A Boy Like You yesterday and it gave me the worst book hangover. 😭😭😭 Ginger Scott outdid herself this time.

  2. Happy belated birthday, Ari! Yay for turning 24 and eating cake. I turn 25 this year and I’m NOT READY AT ALL for that quarter life crisis… although it’s very possible I’ve just had mine this month, haha. Have a wonderful year ahead and all the best. ❤

I'm glad to see that you enjoyed Pretty Face! I enjoyed Lucy Parker's first novel and thought her writing was super witty, so I'm keen to get started on PF eventually. Not sure what March releases I'm really looking forward to… real life has just been super crazy so haven't really had the time to read, let alone find out what's coming out.

    • Thank you, Reg! I already have an idea what my quarter life crisis is probably going to be and I’m not ready for it, but that’s all part of being an adult, right? 😅😅

I love Pretty Face a lot more than the first book. I heard that Lucy Parker is writing another book and I’m curious to see who the next couple will be.

      • Absolutely, haha. What do you reckon it’ll be about, if I may ask? 😛

AHH I’M SO EXCITED. I’ve been looking for an author who writes really smart, witty, feminist romance like Lucy Parker but no one has any clear/direct recommendations. Do you?

      • Oh it’s just the age-old question, “What do you plan on doing for the rest of your life?” 😅😅 Hopefully I figure things out before I reach 25.

I actually can’t think of any romance authors who write similar stories to Lucy Parker. I think that’s why I like her books because they’re not like the typical romances I read. 😅😅 I’ll have to do some digging and see if I find anything and I’ll let you know.

      • I completely understand – it’s exactly the same with me! I turn 25 this year and it’s like oh my gooood, especially because I’m basically starting from scratch again. It makes me feel kind of “left behind”, but I suppose it’s a necessary evil.

YES PLEASE. If you hear of anyone or find anyone like Lucy Parker I’d love to know about it. ❤

  3. Happy late birthday! I also turn 24 this year and am having a hard time wrapping my head around that fact. Honestly I don’t feel like I’m about to turn 24. 😂
Anyway! You got through so many books last month! I wish I had the ability to speed read but I’ve never been able to master it. I hope you have a fantstic March!! 💕

    • Thank you, Melissa! I feel like it was yesterday I was graduating college, like where did the time go?? It doesn’t help that this year is already flying by. I’m not ready to be 25 just yet, haha.

I hope you have a wonderful March as well, Melissa!
