Synopsis via Goodreads: Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him “space”—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit… and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Once again, Emma Chase takes us back to the world of honor and duty in Royally Matched, the second installment in the Royally series. I have been dying to read Henry’s story ever since he first made his way onto the pages of Royally Screwed as a young Prince with not much care for anyone but himself whose main goal in life was to party hard. With the way things ended for him in previous installment, I was curious to see how this young, inexperienced Prince would handle his new responsibilities…and maybe I also just wanted to see more of Henry Pembrook in general. 😏🔥

Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, the new Prince of Wessco, is in over his head as he tries to navigate his new life and the responsibilities that comes with being next in line to rule. With all eyes on him, Henry is not use to this kind of attention and desperately feels the need to get away. Hoping to help him better adjust to the transition, Queen Lenora gives him the alone time he’s been wanting. But when an American television producer pitches him the idea about a reality dating show, Henry takes her up on her offer, hoping the experience will be land him some wild and sexy play time. Let the battle to win Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook heart begin!

I’m slowly discovering that Emma Chase may be one of my new favorite go-to-authors when I’m in the mood for some funnies. Her writing is comical, with witty banter and shenanigans. I didn’t even make it through the first chapter and I was already laughing up a storm just being inside of Henry’s head. The story revolves around a reality dating show which was a first for me and it is what makes this story so unique. It was fun seeing Harry with all these ladies who were competing for his affection, but I liked the fact that the leading lady he ends up falling for isn’t even a participant in the game in the first place. However, I did feel like the “The Bachelor” style theme did take away from this story in the sense that we didn’t get to see Harry full grow into his new role as Prince. I wish we would’ve been able to see more of coming to terms and finally accepting his new responsibilities and ready to be a leader for the people of Wessco instead of all that just being thrown in at the end. I guess I’m just not one for reality television, haha.

HENRY PEMBROOK IS A BABE! He swept me off my feet with that dirty mouth of his, like where can I find me my own Henry Pembrook?! But in all seriousness, I very much enjoyed reading Henry’s POV and seeing him accept his new role as Prince. He has such a big heart and does indeed care deeply for the people in his country and I was really proud of his decision at the end and I think the journey he’s about to go on will make him a better ruler for his people. I absolutely adored Sarah Von Titebottum! She is a modern-day Belle and a fellow Austen lover and I loved the fact that there were a few “Austen inspired” lines here and there! She too faces a challenges throughout this story as she tends to play it safe and hides behind her books and she comes to realize that she can’t continue to live like this if she truly wants to live. Royally Matched is an “opposites-attract” romance at its finest and I loved the banter between these two and the chemistry was off-the-charts! I’m telling y’all, Henry is good at what he does!

Royally Matched was a hilarious, sweet and sexy romance that kept me entertained for hours. I’m hoping that we get to catch up with Henry and Sarah in the next book because I would very much love to know how Henry is handling life as a Prince and to see how things are going for these two. Speaking of the next book, I AM DYING (AND I MEAN DYING) TO KNOW WHO THE COUPLE IS FOR THAT BOOK! I have my hunches, but I just want some type of confirmation that my ship is going to set sail so I can start fangirling already!
