January Wrap-Up & February Most Anticipated Releases

wrapup

Hey Guys!

The end of the first month for the new year is already here! Where did the time go?! While I want to say that this month has been a great month, I would be lying through my teeth if I did. I’m still trying to figure out how a racist, misogynistic bastard was elected as our president. I’m hoping we survive the first 100 days because hope is literally the only thing keeping me going right now.

So enough with me going off about the current state of our country, I had a pretty good reading month and I decided not to pressure myself to read this year, so I slowed down my reading speed just a bit so I can enjoy books a little bit longer.

Let’s get started!

BOOKS I READ:

I read a total of seven books this month and DNF-ed my first ever book! All the books I read this month, I loved and I really don’t have any complaints. I will say that y’all need to go read Infini because it will change your life!

BOOK REVIEWS:

The Hard Count by Ginger Scott | ★★★★½ | A sports romance that tackles heavy issues, like racism, societal expectations, family and will truly move you.
Commander in Chief by Katy Evans | ★★★★ | A sequel with just as much angst as the first book and an HEA that left me in happy tears!
Bad Mommy by Tarryn Fisher | ★★★★ | A dark, twisted, unpredictable page turner that will keep you guessing until the very last word.
Love in Lingerie by Alessandra Torre | ★★★★ | A steamy, yet sweet office romance that I couldn’t put down. The slow-burn may kill you, but the ending is so worth it.
Amour Amour by Krista & Becca Ritchie | ★★★★ | A New Adult romance about taking chances, following your dreams and falling in love along the way.
Infini by Krista & Becca Ritchie | ★★★★★ | A slow-burning second-chance romance with great Caribbean rep. and a family that you will make you want to join the circus.
I really only have one anticipated release because I already read or have ARCs of my most anticipated releases for the month of February.

That is all for the month of January. Feel free to check out any of the above posts mentioned if you haven’t done so already.

Let me know in the comments which February release you are most excited for!

  1. Looks like you’ve had a great reading/blogging month. Alex, Approximately is on my priority read list and I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’d say my most anticipated book for February has got to be A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab. 😀
