Top Ten Tuesday (December 8, 2015): Top Ten New-To-Me Authors Added To My Favorites List In 2015

Happy Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s topic is a Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015.  Since 2015 was the year I got back into reading, I have discovered so many new authors whose writing I completely adore. I basically will devour anything these authors write and I can’t wait to read more of their books in the future. In no particular order…
Let’s begin!

 Presentation (1)

Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas

#QUEENofGeometricalRomances
A Court of Thorns and Roses was actually the first YA fantasy book I ever read and I was pretty much JUMPED aboard the SJM train after that! I devoured the Throne of Glass series and fell in love with all her characters. I can’t wait for A Court of Mist and FuryI AM READY!

Renee Ahdieh

#UncontrollableSobbingAt1AM
The Wrath and the Dawn violated my emotions on such a level, words can’t even describe it. I finished this book at about one in the morning and I kept trying to turn the page on my e-reader because I could not believe that story ended like that! I NEED The Rose and the Dagger like NOW!

Jennifer L. Armentrout

My Not So Vacant Shelf: Review: Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout
 #HOLYALIENBABIES!
Daemon, Daemon, Daemon! When anyone would mention their top book boyfriends, he was always in the mix, so of course being the curious kitten that I am, I picked up the Lux series. I never thought I would like books about aliens, but Daemon changed my mind so fast. I WANT him!

Colleen Hoover ♥

Colleen Hoover
 #SENDHELPI’MDYING!
I stumbled upon Colleen Hoover’s books on Goodreads. Maybe Someday kept showing up as a recommended read, so I decided to pick it up. I was not disappointed! Soon after, I binge read the rest of her book (many times) and she has now become one of my ALL-TIME favorite authors.

K. A. Tucker

K.A. Tucker
 #ICAN’TBreathe
K.A. Tucker is another author that I stumbled upon. Her Ten Tiny Breathes series kept popping up on my Scribd account so I just decided one day to pick up the first book and OMG I was HOOKED! I completely adore that series, the suspense, the plot twists, they KILLED me!

Lisa DeJong ♥

Lisa De Jong
#NoIAmNOTCrying
Another author I stumbled upon while adding books to my Scribd library (Scribd FTW!). I read When It Rains in less that 24 hours and let me tell you, when it rains, IT POURS! The TEARS! I then went on to binge read the rest of her books that week and loved every tear-jerking moment!

Kim Holden

Kim Holden
 #Oh,That’sJustMyHeartLyingontheFloor
Kim Holden is another author that I came across while on Goodreads. I did not read the reviews for her books, so I was not aware of the emotional pain that I was about to face. The FEELS hit me HARD and I was not prepared. Her books are EPIC!

Mia Asher ♥

 #WTFJustHappened!
I couldn’t find a picture for Mia Asher (sob). Mia Asher is such a great author. She writes books that show the uglier side of life with characters that you want to hate, but you still care for them. Her book Arsen actually landed itself on my “Do NOT Read Again” list because I can’t handle going through those emotions again.

Jay Crownover

Jay Crownover
 #QUEENofBadBoys,Piercings&Tattoos
Jay Crownover is the BEST! I was so hesitant to start her books, but now I just want to slap myself for not picking them up sooner. Her books just get better and better and I CAN’T WAIT for Built next month to get back to my favorite tatted boys and sassy girls!

That’s all for this weeks TTT. Most of the books I read tend to be indie books, hence the reason why there are so many indie authors on this list.
What are some of your new-to-you favorite authors that you just can’t get enough of? Let me know in the comments 😀 !

  1. I loved that your list included so many indie authors, I’ve been wanting to check out indie authors but never knew where to start and thanks to your stellar recommendations I feel like I have some direction lol. I am so curious to check out Jay Crownover!

  2. I love Colleen, Kim, Jay, and Jennifer Armentrout! I totally agree with you about Keller from Bright Side, I don’t want him to have his own book. I would rather imagine he and Stella living happily ever after together. Lisa DeJong is on my TBR! 🙂

  3. I had the same scenario with Jay Crownover! I regret not picking up her books earlier! (though to be honest, it was nice to binge read a majority of the Marked Men series without having to wait for the next book :P).

Glad you liked JLA! She’s one of my fave authors!
