Waiting On Wednesday (September 30, 2015)

Waiting on Wednesday
Hey Guys!
Welcome to Waiting on Wednesday! Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly book meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that you’re eagerly anticipating.

This week I’m waiting on…
A (3)
I read the first book in the Flawed Love series, Lies Unspoken, a few months back. I had just finished one of Lisa’s other series, Rains (which is AWESOME!), and I decided to pick it up…wrong decision.
Lies Unspoken follows our main Lila Fields who heads to Chicago after having her heart broken. On her flight to Chicago, she meets Pierce Stanley, a business man who tells her about his work and offers her a job opportunity. She takes his card, not thinking much of it.
An old friend from college lets Lila stay in her apartment while she is in Europe. What her friend fails to tell her is that she shares the apartment with her brother, Blake. So it’s pretty obvious that this living situation is a recipe for disaster, and that’s just what happens. A love triangle starts between our three characters and secrets come to light. In the end, Lila is left heartbroken, once again, this time with no where to flee.
This book follows your typical new adult formula: one girl who is trying to start over, a bad boy with more mood swings than a bipolar patient, and a good guy who just wants to sweep the girl off her feet. There were times where I just wanted to slap characters. But what really made me like this book was the ending. I thought there was going to be a happy ending, like my OTP was together, there were no more secrets, everyone was moving forward. Literally in the last two pages of this book, all of that is taken away. I was devastated.
Then, I went to check when the second book was being released and there was no news. I stalked Goodreads, the author’s social media platforms…nothing. Finally, a few weeks ago, we got a release date and two days ago the cover was revealed and I fangirled my little heart out. I can’t wait to pick this one up and hopefully things end on a better note. #TeamBlake.

That’s all for this post! What books are you guys currently anticipating? Let me know down below so we can fangirl together!
