30-Day Book Challenge: Day 9

30 Day Book Challenge (2)

Hey Guys!

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to Day 9 of this 30-Day Book Challenge. The challenge is simple; for each day there is a statement and you have to choose a book or series that relates to said statement. Let’s begin!

Day 1 (9)

9754815

The lucky book for this challenge is Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. This book follows our main character Anna Oliphant whose father decides to ship her off to France for boarding school for her senior year. At first, Anna is upset and homesick, but then she starts to make friends and things start looking up. She even meets a cute British guy named Étienne St. Clair. He shows her around the city and they become close, but  Étienne is taken. Can Anna stop herself from falling love in the city of love?

I remember when I first saw this book and read the back. I was like: “No, lets put this one back”. I thought that it was going to cliché young adult book about an annoying protagonist who eventually gets her way, but boy was I wrong. Anna surprised me, BIG TIME. She was not whiny or annoying. She was strong character who held her own and could throw down with the rest of them. I love this book! If you haven’t read it, you should, LIKE NOW! I can’t wait to get to the next book in this series.

That’s all for this post! Until tomorrow…
